I have never been convinced that he was the right player for us and so I’m really not bothered if we don’t sign him. However, wasting so much time negotiating over a small sum in the grand scheme of things will have implications. There is not much time now to start from scratch on yet another target, who we’ll no doubt pay well over the odds for.

I'm not bothered as I don't know his game. How do you know we haven't got feelers out for other players? If we haven't signed him, I think it's a conscious decision rather than an error. I think we must have known what was going on, and either were powerless to stop it, or didn't want him enough to try and make him ours.

Seri can't play in the winter and Kovacic is extremely overrated just because he plays for Madrid and even so gets a few games a year. Massive downgrade from Jorginho and likely Fred will prove a far better player too, even playing in that diabolical United team

Memory serves me right, Seri has a £35mil release clause and we’ve looked at him in the past.

As it looks like we dont want to throw too much money at this position, he would make alot of sense and low release clause makes this easier to do but reports are that he's in London trying to get a deal done with one of the London clubs....I still think Fred was worth the 53mil the rags paid but that old news now....DM is still a need we need to sort out and replacement for Yaya was Pep's No1 goal for the summer.....

If anything DM should be the position we should overpay. DM is the most important position in the system.
