Red Cafe loving this.

Just like they did when they signed Sanchez.

The rest is history.
How long before it clicks that we're still light years in front of them and that they're cheering on a Chelsea team who are strengthening with the rags clearly in their sights.

Guardiola will be disappointed, yes, but after 5 minutes he’ll be focused on reality and the future, not pondering on the past and ‘what might have beens’.

He'll probably be telling Txiki who he wants instead and to get it done quickly.

I'm not saying this is a disaster, I'm just annoyed at how many people seem to automatically take this "we didn't need him anyway, he's shit, he's a dickhead, we got 100 points without him" stance.

Yes knackered as in exhausted, extremely tired. As in, 33 years old, played 50 games this season and hasn't had a summer break.

Also there's no fucking point in putting asterisks in your swearwords, your mum isn't looking.

And still fit. And still one of the first names on the team sheet. And still gives 101% every game.

But don't worry yourself, City will find another player before the season starts.

Arsed what you think*. Clown.

If your going to use a comparison at least do it fairly. Most footballers up here live in Alderley Edge/Prestbury. Which are fucking lovely.
In scale compared to London those areas are tiny.He would be working in greater Manchester, and arguably a significant amount of his and his family's time would be spent commuting within and around Greater Manchester, sampling the City Centre. I know what your saying but to a footballer from overseas given the scale, diversity and of London compared to those areas you've mentioned, its not too difficult to appreciate why London would be a preferred choice.

It's annoying to lose someone the club has had an agreement for (sums Laurentiis up) but quite happy we won't be signing him.

Game after game of watching him lose every duel, being caught on the ball and making Gareth Barry look fast, I thought I was being trolled

When we refuse to bid more surely we exit the auction relying on player preferences.
Others, not for the first time, wait for that final bid then outbid us.
In other words they value the player higher than we do.

Our problem now is to find a player currently proven at top level that fits our player profile yet at or below our valuation that other teams do not want bid for.
Alternatively change our policy and actually give one of our graduates game time.

tbh I am not disappointed, just a little bit concerned that Txiki showed a little naivety in going after a Napoli player, we have been here before back when Bobby was the manager (Lavezzi, Cavani, Hamsik), De Laurentis is a fucking crook and I am glad we didn't get Jorginho, read through my past posts here on the transfer forum, I've never really rated the guy, I just didn't see it! I always wanted us to go for Fabinho over this guy but that's old news now. The good news however is that PEP is the boss and we have some very promising talent coming in or already here, if we decide to look inwards then we can look to the following players: Claudio Gomes kid is built like a tank and I am sure Pep can turn him into a perfect DM, there's also Douglas Luiz, Gundo has also done the business in that position so we have enough cover there right now, if we decide to dip our hands into the transfer market then we can look to Ndombele and Kovacic, for an older, more experienced DM we can try to snap up Matuidi, at 31 he should come relatively cheap.
Claudio Gomes is 5'4". That would be a very tiny tank
