Jorginho

Well you might be smug and thrilled at standing still with some ageing players and giving our competitors a chance to catch up, but I'm not overly keen on it, and I'd bet Guardiola probably isn't either.

Guardiola will be disappointed, yes, but after 5 minutes he’ll be focused on reality and the future, not pondering on the past and ‘what might have beens’.

Whooaah...

WTF?

Fernandinho is clearly knackered, as he would be, having played football continuously for two years.

As for Sad Cafe, there's no need to run off to see what they think, the penny hasn't even dropped yet that Jorginho going to Chelsea just makes United making top four all the more difficult.
It’s the go to for them. Instantly care what they think. In reality, who gives a fuck what they think?! Never understood that obsession with going on a united board.

If an agreement was reached with Napoli two weeks ago and nothing has happened after that (his agent went quiet as well), I am sure we knew the player had concerns.

Not impossible that we have worked ln a replacement since and things might move quickly. Doesn’t Kovacic have a release clause even and we sent delegates to Madrid some time ago as well?

Anyway as Sam Lee posted, if we already agreed a fee and agreed terms with the player and another club steps in why should we go back on the original agreement. If the player doesn’t want to commit and the club either then both parties arnt meant for each other. We are talking about a player that’s not a superstar here no need to flap we just move on to the next

But he’s been solid in defense this wc and do you think pep would risk losing that?

I don't know. We also have Laporte, Vinny and Otamendi to rotate - we have also gone after the kid De Ligt at Ajax?

Stones might actually enjoy getting more game time. In an England three, he essentially become the DM pivot, as he has to move forward to get the team out.

Kovacic
Milkinovic Slavic
Serri
Lemina
Thiago
Weigl

Only realistic options and how many can actually play in that position.

Seri has supposedly joined Fulham.
Milinkovic Savic is never a DM no matter how someone wants to paint it.
Lemina is an interesting one.
Thiago would be a top class signing bar his injury record.
Weigl looks to of gone backwards the last couple of seasons and looked average at best when i watched him last season.

To lose our first target was regrettable to then lose our second target after being first in a one horse race for two months is unpalatable , both against our rivals next season dont see how those on here can be satisfied with the outcome i am sure we will end up paying more to get someone of his ability
