How the fuck do you ever get any enjoyment out of football if you can turn even a thread about Jorginho into Danilo-bashing?
 
People keep going on about pace, but passing a ball is faster than any player can run. If he can pass quickly, accurately, one and two touch, then that’s faster than the guy who has 99 pace on FIFA and wants to dribble past everybody. And Jorginho has that passing ability.
 
Yes I think it likely we will come under much more pressure next year and how do we handle it? With Jorginho in the team we have a better chance of responding with a long ball counter-attack.Most likely a long ball to runners down the left, particularly Sane, with central runners following up for the cross. Maybe not classic Pep, but I suspect he is open to different ways of scoring goals.

I like Danilo and think he's a good backup full back. But I'd like a new RB if there was someone really world class available. Not because of Danilo (though he'd be the one to be replaced) but because I'd see Walker as the right level for the backup player and not the first. He's decent most of the time (as is Danilo) but he seems to have a mental block in an attacking sense and is prone to moments of panic.

I see right back and No2 goalkeeper as the 2 opportunities to improve...but if Pep doesn't then that's cool by me too. :-)

Is that because he doesn’t do slidy tackles like a true full Brit fullback and get mud on his shorts or because he tackles the Pep way on his feet
