Good thing you spot quickly with him - is the way he mixes it up - unlike a lot of good passers he’s not always looking for the killer pass - quite often he plays it short and likes a give and go. I think he’ll really improve us, but it might take him a little while to settle in, so patience will be required.

Fair does i just think we need a similar player to fern as we have gundogan already.but i trust pep so lets wait and see.

Its like Real would like to change Casemiro in DM position and they would try to sign Gundogan for that. Or Chelsea would want to replace Kante and bring in Alcantara.
Not exactly the straightforward choices for the position.

Jorginho could be a better Gundogan but can he be a better Fernandinho? Doesnt look to quick, neither aggressive enough, Fernandinho had the speed, stamina, aggression to dominate midfield battles. I wonder if Gundogan will replace Fernandinho after all and jorginho is taking over Gundogan's position.

Karen, you hit the nail on the head....."we need a younger dinho is all" Thats also my point.....Jorginho is a good signing, adds to our strengths but doesnt upgrade our weaknesses....We need a younger dinho.....someone with a little steel, pace and non stop motor. Jorginho is a great footballer and one of the best in Europe at what he does but cannot fill that role and I think thats the "only" point some are trying to make...

while i can see many positives...he is nothing like a younger Ferna in the way they play....Jorgihno is a better passer probably, Dihno is more of a dynamic player while from what Ivr seen now of Jorginho he is very disciplined in his positional play.
