Jorginho

If we miss out on Jorginho due to a few million here and there and their owner doesn't back down and refuses our offer, we have dropped a bollock. Summer plans completely scrapped, back to the drawing board and start again.

We either get first choice targets or we keep what we have got.
How would you possibly know that our summer plans are scrapped and back to the drawing board. You really think they won't have a back up plan ?

Im afraid that Pep has done so and thats why we are so eager on getting him. "Eager" that is.
If Pep insists that Jorginho is so vital to his team preparation for next season, that no other alternative will do, I’m sure the club will go the extra mile and back him 100%.

If, on the other hand, he knows that paying the extra money for Jorginho will prevent him from from pursuing other targets, (perhaps for other positions), then that’s a different kettle of fish altogether.

Tough decision, which, in the end, he will be given the go ahead to ultimately make, I’d imagine

A better version of carrick? Carrick was criminally underrated if he is as good as him then we are set for a good 5 years. Not having it that he is better than Carrick though.
He is better at the one touch, quick pass as well as accurate long balls, going by videos at least.

Really want to know our alternatives since Napoli clearly want £60m+ and he is not worth that when the market for his position has been £40-50m and Txiki doesn't want to overpay.

Same thing happens in most negotiations we're involved in these days. It's annoying but it's also a good sign that City won't be pushed around. Let's see what happens but I think this will end up completed.

I dont believe there is a plan A B C it has been said that three players are identified for each position it seems to me we have prioritised them maybe on ease of signing given Pep wants the deals completed by the 9th July and which club will sell within the budget we have.

Why are we not targeting N'Zonzi? He is perfect for what we need with the position with pinging passes, defensive duties, and dealing with the press as hes constantly shown vs Pool. Absurd we aren't buying him at a similar age/price we bought Dinho for.
Maybe Pep and Txiki think you're wrong, maybe that's why. Madness I know they should check on here before deciding who would be best.

Why are we not targeting N'Zonzi?

Didnt we target him last winter break or was it this winter break? Lovely player, though he didnt do anything in Blackburn that stood out, which might have put Pep & Co off a little bit... Would otherwise take Dembele (Moussa) if anything..

Why is anything he did at Blackburn relevant when he has been a stud for Sevilla and booked his ticket to the World Cup for France with how good he has been since his move and working under Emery to improve?

They should, as we are fact based accounts and will tell them the truth, no matter how difficult it is to accept.

Maybe the people that do this for a hugely well paid living think differently to you?

Jorginho going to Brazil and Napoli holding on to their valuation mean this may be off unless they budge which may not happen.
Hopefully we have an able alternative in mind and we wrap that deal sooner

Really like Jorginho, will be disappointed if we back out over a few million. Its admirable that we're sticking to our guns but the two lads mentioned as alternatives are totally different players. Just seems weird to move on from your number one target identified over the course of months and agreed with a tactical genius to then bin all that so quickly.

And as I have said before, don't think we have a leg to stand on from a negotiation point of view. Richest club in the world + premier league champions prize money + only needing two signings, if I was Laurentiis I would have asked for 60 million too.

If this does not happen i hope we go for Ndombele i personally would have Ndombele before Jorginho but Jorginho has the experience, as for the transfer we are in control as he is not going straight into our first team and as it gets closer the deadline day the player will be looking at the Marhez January transfer

I agree, but if Jorginho is Pep`s first choice of all available DMs, it`s for a good reason
