Should we not just look elsewhere then, if Napoli are fucking about??
Only my opinion but I dont think our management care two hoots whether Chelsea enter the fray or not. If he does go to chelsea we have avoided a bullet because he wasn't committed enough to join City if he does join City it shows he is committed and we end up with a fully focused player.
I find it really bizarre that people can be so negative towards people who have given us so much. Perhaps it's because I grew up in Moss Side, when neither the club or my family had a pot to piss in.
Like I said I blamed txiki because he has the biggest input in these transfers and I'll say it again I don't care if I'm wrong about it being txiki it could be anyone I just don't want this to happen again. Alves has a last min change of heart yeah but if we ran that risk by not signing him first then letting him leave on holiday. And again with Sanchez we ran the risk of another club signing him by telling him to wait and it happened. our transfer team brought us many great players but they make mistakes sometimes as well.
With Jorginho I don't know what could have went wrong if it doesn't happen but I still think it's inexcusable to be chasing a player for two months only for him to go to a weaker club.
By slow and complacent I'm referring to us being so assured that the player only wants us when they tell us they want to join then run the risk of him going elsewhere and it backfires sometimes. Sometimes you have to minimize as much risk as possible.
Excuse me. We all had pots to piss in in Moss Side. We may have had to share them sometimes but we all had them.
Unless you were posh Moss and had an outside toilet in the backyard air raid shelter;)

When did I say let's force players to join ? I said we should try to minimizes unnecessary risks in order to sign the player as soon as possible before giving other clubs a chance to change their mind. What's wrong in that ?We could always make the player sign at gunpoint. FFS you are truly unreal.

let me ask you do you think having a player agreed and the contract done Instead of signing him then letting him leave we let him have a 2 week holiday giving other clubs a chance to sign him. Or not willing to pay a smaller fee and telling the player to wait till the summer giving other clubs the chance to sign him. Don't u think we could've done better ?Because you know absolutely nothing of how our transfer negotiations are carried out or of the complexity of those negotiations.
And how do you know that we don't minimise unnecessary risks in order to sign the player as soon as possible ?
And if the player's mind is changed by the offers from other clubs, it only shows that the player wasn't sufficiently committed to signing for us. That being the case then the club will move on to sign somebody who meets the requirements of our management team and who does want to sign for us.
Which bit of the above are you failing to understand ?
Ofcourse we don't know how complex transfers can be or how simple they can be each case is different but just because of that it doesn't make the club immune to any criticism other wise we can't critisize anything about the club.

Your looking at in a really black and white way a player can be fully committed but if depend on that and try to use it to our advantage in negotiations then take too long he could get fed up and he and the club agree a deal with another club. None of these players are city fans they see us as a good opportunity but if another one comes they will be open to it.

Very few players in the world won’t get nervous after what is now about two months of transfer negotiations. They want to make sure they get their move to the next level and they’re entitled to wonder if it’s worth the risk waiting for us. That’s human nature and it doesn’t mean they don’t want us.
