You don't get the importance of integrity in professional negations? Come off it... I never said nobody would deal with them ever again I said people will not take their word so easily in future(if we out them) which could mean they possibly avoid them for other options if there's any available and they are left in the position of having to give the benefit of the doubt.I don't get this whole integrity bit. If club A needs a player, and club B is willing to sell, then there'll always be a deal regardless of reputation. It may drag out a bit, but someone will always deal.
As far as relationships between Napoli and us, there will be no change. We are not a selling club, Napoli can't afford our players (they only buy low and sell high-see higuain et al.). If they have another worldie or player we're really after we will still talk. Maybe with a hint more caution but still we will.
Even after fergie wouldn't sell that mob a virus, he still sold Ronaldo to them despite their shenanigans (and I know he wanted to go there). So nothing changes. Tomorrow is another day.
Example: They(buying club) are stuck in negotiations wondering what the hold up is, deadline day is drawing closer, reports that they have made contact with another club catch their attention. In their position after hearing what they did to City(best club in the land and all the world), whatever answer you get will be questioned: They tell you it's true but did they leak this trying bump up the price? OR They tell you it's false but are they keeping you in the dark in case the much better deal(they have no chance of getting from you) they've been offered falls through leaving your offer to fall back on? If you have other good options you'd think more seriously about bailing to give yourselves time to still get a good deal on the alternatives.
All I said was their integrity will take a knock and so it should, yes that matters in business, yes this is a business. No the club aren't stupid for assuming a professional would risk their reputation by lying to them directly in response to the news reports.
We wont be able to "make changes" to stop this happening in future, you can't account for lying or start treating everyone else as if they could be lying(whoever lied here yes though) because that's just paranoid not "smart". If it turns out to be true lets just accept it was a dick move and not blame our club for it, just because we want a little tantrum about it. We wont always get what we want and it's not always fair unfortunately.
