Jose Mourinho says...

Forgets that the only league where we do participate was won by Chelsea last year, neither his team or Barca made the final. Says it all :-)

He is right, Barca and Madrid have the best squads in the world.

How many City players would get into Barca's team, Probably Hart and Kompany only.

that if any of the EPL teams played in La Liga they could never win it becuase Real Madrid and Barcelona are the two strongest teams in the world.
I agree.

Didn't Chelsea win the CL?

The mind boggles, the snotty nosed twat!
Winning a knock out cup comp is very different to winning a league. If the Champions League was a league format then anyone who wins that are the best team in Europe without doubt. But Dortmund in 1997(?), Liverpool in 2005 and Chelsea this year was te equivalent of Portsmouth winning the FA Cup in 2008 and saying they're the best team in England.

Yaya Toure, Sergio Aguero and David Silva spring to mind.

However, it is a league, that Chelsea won, beating Barca on the way. None of the Spanish duo played any English opponents until the semi and when they did they were found wanting against a stubborn Stoke'esque Chelsea who walked out worthy winners. That's the comparison, they don't like it up 'em, which they rarely get in their league.

I think the question should be, would Barca or Real walk our league?

Or, why is the Special One being so Special?

Mourinho's just so in love with the Prem, he knows that's where the real game is. Mentions it in every breath and I'm pretty sure he's just stoking the fire for next year.
