You may hate him as a person but you have to respect him as a professional. He is without a doubt one of the best, if not the best, manager in football at the moment.

When Inter got beat by United he was close to walking out on them because the board at Inter were not allowing him to run the club as he wanted to. So he said you even let me do it, or let me go, let me do it and I will win you trophies. So they let him do it, and the rest is history.

The sale of Ibra with Eto'o coming the other way plus 40mill euros from Barca which helped finance the purchases of milito and sneijder etc was the key to taking an Inter team that was at best QF Champions League standard to the Champions League winners. That and the genius of Jose in making it work.

You are right that buying players is Jose's weak spot.

1) He can't go to Utd in the short term - Fergie's reign must come to an end soon
