Should just retire and enjoy his millions, football left him behind years ago. If Simeone decided to jack it in he'd be a perfect fit at Athletico, a master of shithousery and nothing else.

There is an interesting article about the millions he has accumulated through being sacked during his career - well over $100m - but he'll only get about $6m from Roma so he'll be pleading poverty.

Newcastle is perfect for him, he is an egomaniac and if he wins a trophy with them he'll never let anyone forget that he's the one who ended their trophy drought, that's what he did at Roma when he won that Conference thing trophy, and that's why he is so bitter about Spurs sacking him before a League cup final against us, he doesn't give a crap if he destroys the clubs in the long term, he only wants short term glory to brag about how legendary he is.

If Newcastle are smart they wouldn't go anywhere near him.

I’m genuinely curious as to which clubs you feel that he’s destroyed in the long-term.

There was plenty that wanted him here at one time. Over Pep, if I remember rightly.
Thank fuck that never came to fruition.

Ahhh his days as a top manager are well and truly over. I agree, wouldn’t want him to manage us at any point and I’m glad he didn’t.

I just think he’s a caricature of himself and winds people up deliberately as part of it. Sometimes oversteps the mark on the touchline (see Pep, Arteta, Klopp et al), can’t excuse his eye gouge, but I don’t think he believes half the shit he says or does these days.

Getting Mourinho - who you get 2/3 years out of before he starts itching for a sacking payday - would be the opposite of what they’ve done so far.

The annoying thing is, once you get past the very intentional pantomime baddie act he likes to project, I get the impression he’s probably quite a nice bloke in everyday life.

united and i will always be thankful to him for that, yes he won three trophies and finished second to us which was his greatest achievement but the money he spent on aging stars and the way he poisoned the dressing room to do it absolutely destroyed them for the foreseeable so thanks for that jose.
