What a great way to watch football it was! It proved that commentary is a waste of time. Just watching football with crowd noise is the way forward!

Game changer. Technology is taking over draconian rules (can't watch football at 3pm). The simple solution is to reduce ticket prices & increase the huge TV deal. That way the clubs will earn more money, match going fans will benefit from it & if you can't make a trip then it's on tele anyway!

I thought it was more to do with people staying away from lower league games if the big teams are on TV.

Well regardless, it puts us fans back in the driving seat. It gives us more choice - go and watch a local match or watch a game on tele. It puts the onus back onto the clubs to reduce ticket prices and to improve the 'match day experience'. If they did both, across the board, they wouldn't need to worry about attendances.
