Joshua Kimmich

I like Kimmich but just don't see why we would need this transfer with Walker & Lewis here.
I think it's because Lewis is still very raw and probably needs a few years to be trusted as a starter, and Kyle (with the exception of the last game) has been very underwhelming this season and is not getting any younger. Kimmich will be 29 by the time we sign him, so I am guessing he would be here for 4 or 5 years at best.

I could see Kimmich really excel in the midfield 2 next to Rodri that Kova is doing.

Next season we could have our 4 midfield options be (2 spots):

Rodri, Kova, Kimmich and Lewis.

Thats pretty good, and doesnt rely on Lewis too much but should still give him plenty of minutes.

The man can play multiple positions with incredible quality. One of the most versatile players in world football. Pep fucking adored him at Bayern and was the reason he became so good in midfield.

Kimmich is too slow for RB or double pivot besides Rodri...we already have Kova who has a similar profile/age & he`s faster/quicker than him...on top he wants around £350k per week which would make him top 3 on the wage bill (transfer fee around £30-35m, no resale value)..idk how Rodri,Foden & Co. react when somebody who contributed zero to past success will earn more than them...only upside: no agent fees.....unnecessary tansfer
