We don't need another pedestrian midfielder...great player in the past but we should be looking at young dynamic players instead of giving Munich money to go and strengthen their squad

Not disputing what you say, as I haven't seen BM play lately,
but are you stating " pedestrian midfielder " as a current state or supposition ?

Too many statements on BM are simply individual opinions expressed by posters imo.

Our current midfield defensively are about as active and mobile as a set of traffic cones. Gundo and Lewis off the ball defensively are terrible and are so easily beaten in the middle of the pitch

Kovacic at least can get back but that is about it.

None of them have any physicality at all except Rodri and something people are not realising is that there is no assurance that Rodri returns the player he was....look at how that injury affected VVD for instance when it happened a couple of seasons ago....Hopefully he does but he aint young and an injury like that to him is not the same as it happening to someone say Oscar Bobbs age....

We need a couple, of midfielders at least and Kimmich as good as he is is the past......we need to be looking to the future.....Wirtz, Musiala and the like
 
I've done a complete 180 on this after our recent bad run of form but I don't think he's old and past it he's 30 after the January window, honestly I was for it last year but we really need some young blood in midfield or right back, preferably players who will put themselves about quickly and get stuck in.

Kimmich does neither when it's abundantly clear what we really need most is some pace energy and physicality in the side, I'm not sure we should go for him even if he's willing to join for a pay cut as we need everything I mentioned.
Technically and positionally there's no real weaknesses with him he'd probably do a job and adapt perfectly to Pep's tactics, he'd likely fit in to any system well but I'd rather focus on our weaknesses urgently with much younger targets who fit the strengths I mentioned.
 
If we wanted Kimmich now seems the time. Bayern can’t afford to extend him and Musiala on their expected wages. They would obviously prioritise Musiala.

We wouldnt be giving them money. Hes out of contract
 
Pointless as Bayern aren't selling in January. Even if they are going to lose him on a free.
 
Still not going they are that bothered in losing him on a free. Same with Alphonso Davies and a few seasons back David Alaba.

300/400k a week, hardly good value and another player that runs in sand, we are desperate for pace.

And more importantly your buying a player that does not want to leave Munich.

Yeah the wages would have to come down considerably which he may not want to do but we can offer bigger bonuses mate?
