Joshua Kimmich

Do you think Rico will make it here?
Honestly don’t know. I only know or think if we bought Kimmich it limits his chances. I’m perfectly happy for Pep to make that choice just think if we brought Kimmich in then Pep probably doesn’t think he will and Lewis would either go on loan or be sold with buy back sell on clauses..

I think it is definitely becoming clearer that Kyle is approaching the end of his time as a world-class right-back. His pace and physicality have been fantastic for us, and would need to be replaced, on either flank, to protect from the simplistic but effective kryptonite of a rapid counter. I am not sure that Kimmich is that guy, but he doesn't need to be as long as we have it. He certainly would be some player for Rico to learn from.

I did think so until recently, now I don't firstly one of Kimmich's issues is he sees himself as a midfielder not a full back. Secondly he's only 28 wich means he has 5 years expecting to be first choice which I think holds Lewis back,
Besides that I think with Tuchel going he'll end up staying at Bayern now.
Don't know what the answer to Rodri back up is but doubt it will be Kimmich.

Palinha?

No idea really, I know he was linked with Bayern so would assume he believes he can be first choice for a top team. Would he be first choice in our team, doubtful.
Think it needs to be a player maybe looking at his last contract so about 30 ish that can play that pivot role and understands it.enough to drop in and out of the team. That way maybe Lewis can learn the position and still get enough minutes.
You know what, somebody threw a name out a while ago, like most I laughed it off and I've hardly seen him play this year ,but he's playing deeper,he's getting great reports and is apparently running their midfield... Ross Barclay. ( I know :)),but maybe?
