Worth noting it does not seem like there was any savings, the 100m euro package is what Leipzig wanted and seems like they got.

I wasn't one of the ones saying Txiki sucks or whatever but the cost was pretty clear from the start.

Not clear what we’re paying to be fair. Some reports comparing it to the slabhead fee which is lower than Leipzig first demanded. But I guess we won’t know that for a while. There must be some change in their demands I would suggest

Not questioning Gvardiol's quality cos I know next to nothing about him. We are just a bit short up front - or at the very least we're relying on kids to fill the squad - and I don't think it's unreasonable to point it out when we already have a lot of defenders currently signed to the club and have let Mahrez go without lining up a direct replacement. I'm much happier with the move for Gvardiol now it seems we are in for a winger as well but at the time of the original post it didn't look like we were.

Sometimes I think people forget just how ridiculously stacked our attack is.

Erling Haaland. Julian Alvarez. Phil Foden. Kevin De Bruyne. Jack Grealish. Bernardo Silva!

Those players scored 106 goals last season. If Kane leaves, we've got the 2 best strikers in the league. We've probably got 4 of the 5 best attacking midfielders in the league. We still technically have Cancelo, who was one of the most creative players in the league 18 months ago.

If we end up relying on a few of the most talented kids in the world to back that front 6 up, we'll be doing just fine.
