but it sounds like a misunderstanding:

... and that means: CITY have agreed terms with Gvardiol and that CITY officially have informed Leipzig about their transfer plans.
Not Gvardiol.
This doesn't sound like a 'transfer request' which is not a known option in Bundesliga business anyway.

They are in advance negotiations with both of their targets right now. Those two deals have escalated over the weekend.
