The same people questioning his ability probably questioned Haaland as well, laughable. Name a better U-21 CB in world football...(waiting for people to name randos from average teams not even established in their national teams).

Come on, let's keep it a bit grounded, for his sake.Can’t wait to get this lad in, the more we break the world record fee for a defender, the bigger the rivals sulk.
Get it done, this guy is going to be a monster.
He's not a 'monster' but better than the rest, quite experienced already and has exactly what Pep needs in defence and also opening the game forwards. Good positive, lad. Has his price, sadly.

There’s no pressure with him either.Just for info,and for the benefit of those criticising/faulting him......he is 21 years old,the same exact age as THB and only 13 months older then Callum Doyle......he is one of the first names on the team sheet for both his club and country,and proved on numerous occasions he can play,brilliantly,against the best......while the above two have hardly made an impression on the game and are very much considered potential only.
Yes he has weaknesses,yes he can improve on aspects of his game.....but we are talking about a kid here.....lets not forget,despite his size and aura and very obvious brilliance.
Aké was our best defender this season, Dias will likely be the captain, Stones is top class, Akanji (bar a poor run of form through the Winter) has been a good signing and will settle in better next season… so Gvardiol can just slot in, in the rotation, and develop his game with us over a few years.
It’s not like we’re desperate for a defender and he’s going to come and need to be playing every week and has to start well immediately.
