It was just me having a joke with myself.What’s Vimpto ? I know what Vimto is - it used to be made in Wythenshawe when I was a kid.
I always pronounced it Vimpto as a kid, I'm from whitefield so I guess it was just the way us as kids said it.
Spelt Vimto pronounced as Vimpto, don't ask why just happened :)

It's Vimmie, what's wrong with folk todayIndeed… never has been Vimpto! Think it was some marketing thing (around the manc pronunciation) and now lots of people genuinely think it’s meant to be Vimpto.
