Just to get this right - you want a footballer who is athletic and can play ???? :-)Still think we need one more top player in midfield, someone athletic who can play.

I think Kovacic is a superb signing but he has had injuries niggles in the past.to some extent the rodri thing is an odd one, he is world class of that there is no doubt but i still remember the hysterics when he didnt start the utd game at home and that worked out pretty well, now obviously that isnt a big sample size but bigger sample sizes are losing kdb etc for longer periods and the system and the team just work it out, i think kovacic is more than capable of controlling that midfield should that be a route we want to go down, i mean even stones and gvardiol (if we get him) can play there at a push.
Thats the beauty of what pep has created, because players can all play multiple positions the system is bigger than a single player

As said earlier I would like to see a little more pace and box to box capability in the MF.
FDJ is the ideal one for me and is still very gettable despite what the press say.
I don't but it either, the rags wasted a lot of time last summer on a player that "would not leave" more about Barca would not pay what they owed.Barca need serious cash dont they despite what they say? I also dont buy this rubbish that he would refuse a move due to his apparent love for Barca?
i dont think the barca and of the deal is the necessary hold up, the amount of wages that fdj is on at barca is absolutely insane and he would have to take a substantial paycut to come to cityBarca need serious cash dont they despite what they say? Don't believe everything you read about De Jong wages, a large part of it seems to be the deferred wages that Barca would need to pay before he moved anywhere, unless he wrote off multi millions (which allegedly Barca want him to do, but then stay there).i dont think the barca and of the deal is the necessary hold up, the amount of wages that fdj is on at barca is absolutely insane and he would have to take a substantial paycut to come to city

Cancelo, Laporte and Silva is a hell of a lot of bargaining power.
