Why should we be arsed about the image of paying that much? It's what top clubs do to buy the best players & prospects out there. In our case, it's adding superb elements to an already dominant team.

We should have signed him when we had a chance. I knew Liverpool paying them quickly what was needed for Szoboszlai is going to make this signing difficult.

My on view is that this is all posturing. Leipzig have always been looking for replacements first and as such want to wrap those deals first. I think both clubs agreed to keep the deal under wraps until Leipzig agree a deal with Lyon.

Unfortunately the deal leaked and now Leipzig feel they have to cast as much doubt as possible on the deal hoping Lyon don’t fleece them.

Ultimately it will happen but just not as quick as we’d like.

Surely we just leave it until then.

Lets be honest an asking price of over €100mil is ridiculous however a release clause of over €100mil makes much more sense.
