I doubt Txiki reacts well to being given a deadline. He’s seemingly walked away from deals for less.

Hopefully it gets sorted.

I think it's a bit more than 50/50 Fordy. Maybe 50.5/49.5? ;-) Seriously though, I think he'll be a blue before our season kicks off. Just my gut feeling pal.

Players come and go, but us fans stay put, stick it out and pay a high price for the privilege, mostly for our entire lives - so it matters when they are seen as just inhibiting our clubs progression and ability to win stuff.

unfortunately, nice chap I could see myself having a beer with, but NOT good enough for our team, and seen by some, me included, as retarding our progress in the transfer window as a result. Sadly for him and us, he was a very bad buy and he needs to go for his sake as much as ours. only then will I stop having this opinion on him, because he hasn’t the natural abilities to improve enough.

I’m not phillips biggest fan.
But for the money it’s not a bad bad buy imo.
Should get most of our money back for an England international at his age.
He just does not suited to this city pep team.
Very limited in what he can do. Maybe pep and his team thought they could develop him.
Most of our players are comfortable playing in multiple positions. Kelvin has one job so would need to be exceptional at it but he is not.
All the points you make I agree with but, a bad bad buy would be a maguire for £80m and would be lucky to get £30m
 
FFS, just pay it, and give them what they won't! Be done with it.

Get the lad training with the rest of the squad. And watch him become an important part of the Treble winners.
 
We waiting till the euro rate exchange makes it £1 less than the rags paid for Maguire so he wont be the most expensive centre back.. you heard it first here..
