People have lost their minds and what a million pounds actually is , it is a huge deal to do, it takes time and top level negotiating , calm the fuck down
Good solution to two issues but still gotta replace Mahrez and Walker.Silva stays Laporte stays we fine with Oscar bob and Mcteer to play a few games
It's higher. 110m Euro (£98m).The release clause is less than what they are asking for now. So no they wont.
he already submitted an official transfer request days/weeks ago (can’t remember when exactly). confirmed by max eberl. If City value him they will pay what they have to on the last day of the transfer window. If they don't they will go with what they have which I don't think will do the club any harm whatsoever. The club and squad is very very strong. I suspect Gvardiol will put in a transfer request if he really wants City which will lower the price a bit.
You would hope so, but wouldn't be the first time we've backed out after a club tried to move the goalposts.I assume that means negotiations are set to continue

Would they not have watched him, at least, twice against us?
Enough of this talking sense malarkey FFS, what you trying to do? Ruin the whole thread?People have lost their minds and what a million pounds actually is , it is a huge deal to do, it takes time and top level negotiating , calm the fuck down
I see it as when we know of a release clause we use that valuation as a take it or leave it. If our valuation of that player is drastically different we don't even bother entering negotiations. What do you think the reason for that is? It obviously isn't money, because release clauses often cost more than the reported asking price in these negotiations?
It's over...?
Totally agree. If it was for a player with only 5/6 years left fair enough but this guy could be a mainstay for a decade!Move on from probably the best young centre half in Europe at 21 years old. Do me a favour! We're talking a 10-12 year career at City. All because of £10mill-£15mill difference in valuation between the clubs or the terms of the payment. When did City get so short sighted and stubborn?
Why would they not watch our Champions League games?Half of the people moaning won’t have even watched him play. That’s the ironic thing

Only a waste of 4-6 weeks if we miss out on alternatives. I don't think we have any alternative to Gvardiol. If we don't get him we stick with what we have. That's okay too.I see it as when we know of a release clause we use that valuation as a take it or leave it. When there isn't one and we are given an asking price we then use our valuation as our limit regardless of how much they are asking for. We will then bid on the assumption that the selling club will drop their valuation. After weeks of assuming they will negotiate down and come to our way of thinking (hence the confidence we have in the deal), they keep to their price (as they should) so we deem them difficult to deal with and walk away wasting 4-6 weeks in the process.
Only if Pep trust Laporte more, which is another question mark on a fringe player.Only a waste of 4-6 weeks if we miss out on alternatives. I don't think we have any alternative to Gvardiol. If we don't get him we stick with what we have. That's okay too.
