According to reports in Italy, Inter have reached a basic agreement with Manchester City for Stevan Jovetic for €15m.

Tuttomercatoweb claim the deal was struck for a one-year loan with mandatory option to buy in 2016-17.

The Montenegro international had already been eager to make the move back to Serie A after falling down the pecking order at City.

Inter President Erick Thohir has been in England for several daysin intensive negotiations.

It’s rumoured he found a breakthrough and an announcement could be imminent.

The wages on offer are €3.5m per season, a considerable reduction on the sum he's picking up in Manchester.

Roma were also known to be interested in signing former Fiorentina striker Jo-Jo.

Wonder how months they worked on this transfer. Judging by ours plenty.

But the initial loan itself could carry a fee to bump that up.

Agreed that it would be disappointing.

Find that figure hard to believe however after some of our recent business. - 23m for Negredo, 15 for Garcia, 12 for Rodwell.

Hopefully its nearer to 20m.

You'd rather keep him for 15m euro.

May as well loan him to stoke for the season than accept that insult.
