Jovetic has so much potential I wish he could put it together
It's games he needs to put together. He wasn't a muscle tear injury prone player before he came to us. He got a bad joint injury that saw him out for a long stint but before that he was never getting those niggly hmastring, calf strain, groin strain injuries he got over and over and over with us.

Jovetic is decent, if he had a run of a dozen games in a team fit and firing he'd be good. He just hasn't been able to do that with us.

Totally agree with you. He's a proper footballer who been unfortunate with injuries and rarely played as a No 10 which is his strongest position. I get the feeling that when he is selected he tries too hard to impress and this will only settle down once he gets a run of games and becomes comfortable about his future with us, but alas I doubt this will happen.

Almost from the beginning there's been rumours of him returning to Italy which would be a shame. If he did leave, I'd want him to go abroad as I'd hate him to rock up at Spurs/Liverpool and start tearing it up in the Prem.

Gazetta dello sport: Inter are close to pulling the plug on a deal for City's Stevan Jovetic as City's asking price is too much for Inter

Translation:-

Inter, like all Italian sides, feel they are doing City a favour by showing interest in Jovetic, and expect us to pretty much give him to them for free".

What is it with Italian sides and trying to buy quality players for a pittance, or loaning them with absolutely no obligation to buy them at the end?

We need to lower the prices for Jovetic and Dzeko, we can't bring in Kdb or Pogba (or any other foreign player) till these 2 are sold. There are moments to argue over a few million, this is not one, this summer is vital to our development.

They spent about £11m on a 30 year old centre back and £25m on Kondogbia.

Pay up or fuck off.

If this summer has proven anything so far though, it's that Txiki is very keen on showing the footballing world that we won't be letting others take the piss just because we have a lot of money. We seem to be driving a hard but fair price on ALL business this summer, which is what we need to do.

Not sure if you have kids, but if you keep giving into them then they continue to behave badly. We are doing the right thing for our present AND our future
