Joy Division / New Order thread

So I can cop to She's Lost Control and LWTUA and Transmission as better than anything NO ever did. But on balance there are more songs by NO I love because they put forth an immense number of really great tunes, and Ian Curtis is dead and therefore has no say in the matter.

NO is my favo(u)rite band of all time ever. If I had to do without one of them, how am I going to do without my favo(u)rite band? I'm not.
Understandable, however when Joy Division became New Order they were still playing post punk music. Mostly enjoyable, better quality of musicianship but without the dynamic vocals of Curtis.
Then I went through a period where I despised their move towards the New York scene and the introduction of the drum machine where there was once the best drummer around. Blue Monday became the antithesis of ‘good’ music.
Took me about ten years to forgive them and get back into them when I bought Substance, and started playing their music again.

For those interested the best compilation, by some considerable distance, was/is Heart and Soul....
