Joy Division / New Order thread

Unfortunately I've got "Video Unavailable" here in the US of A -- which tune/record?

One of the last things I did before COVID was head down/out to Miami for one of their residency shows in January, combining it with a business trip. I went by myself which is always a little sad but what a blast it was. I don't care that they're older; I miss Hooky but the tunes are so good that him not being there isn't any kind of issue for me. I've been to a half dozen shows or so over the years and am longing for them, some day, to play Thieves Like Us which is my all-time favo(u)rite in an ocean of fantastic tunes. They'll always be my #1 band. I'll be buried with a City scarf and a either PCL CD or my TLU vinyl 12-inch.

I must have listened to Substance and Technique several thousand times as a teenager. Funny how the lyrics rarely made any sense at all until I was much much older. Loads I'd misheard.

Sorry to hear about Barney. I still have a huge amount of time for the first Electronic album. The NME described it as Kraftwerk on a day trip to Joe Bloggs, which was about right, but it's also got some awesome songwriting by Barney and Johnny.

Amongst other deserved plaudits, I can report this classic tune was deemed good enough to make the playlist at my local Morrisons:

Same here with substance and technique.

I had substance on vinyl with the red and blue sleeves, 1963 and true faith i played 24/7.

Like I said I believe hooky, Bernard as always been a Shit house .

go listen to his shite band bad luteniant song called sink or swim.

then listen to Brian Jonestown massacre
When jokers attack and tell me Bernard ain’t a shit house
Bernard might be a shit house, I would not know as I have never met him. He is definitely the talented one though.
