Pretty sure he had no interest / knowledge of football, but jumped on the Rag bandwagon in the 90'sJust your normal gobshite rag.
I know Hooky spray painted Mufc and Salford rules on their amp cabinets, but that was just to piss Barney off.He can piss off then. Rag twat. I am sure his ex wife Caroline was a blue. RIP
He better not have, the fat ****.Wasn’t it Hooky who said City are like a tramp who’s found a wad of cash whilst searching the bins (ie: no class)
So does Bernard these days , awful singerHe should let Pottsy sing the NO tunes though, he absolutely crucifies them.
Crystal, off crystal.Unfortunately I've got "Video Unavailable" here in the US of A -- which tune/record?
One of the last things I did before COVID was head down/out to Miami for one of their residency shows in January, combining it with a business trip. I went by myself which is always a little sad but what a blast it was. I don't care that they're older; I miss Hooky but the tunes are so good that him not being there isn't any kind of issue for me. I've been to a half dozen shows or so over the years and am longing for them, some day, to play Thieves Like Us which is my all-time favo(u)rite in an ocean of fantastic tunes. They'll always be my #1 band. I'll be buried with a City scarf and a either PCL CD or my TLU vinyl 12-inch.
Is that not the point of having Bernard as the singer? So does Bernard these days , awful singer

It was a total break from Ian Curtis. How do replace a guy who's voice fitted the music perfectly and who also bared his soul through his lyrics? You can't replace him, if they had tried then it would have been a pale imitation. That's why Hooky was not the singer. Hooky might actually have a better voice, but because of the timbre, it would have sounded like he was aping Ian Curtis.
Although Bernard tried to mimic Ian Curtis on movement, he soon found his own voice and New Order thrived because of it, they became two distinct bands. Bernard has never been able to sing, but he is not at the Ian Brown level of terrible singers.
Now it is clear you are Hooky fan, that's fair enough. I much prefer the other 3. Hooky has been replaced in New Order and truth be told it has made no difference. New Order could be terrible when Hooky was in the band. Bernard was the key man in New Order. He sang, wrote the lyrics and wrote most of the songs.
I had substance on twin cassette. Played them to death.Same here with substance and technique.
I had substance on vinyl with the red and blue sleeves, 1963 and true faith i played 24/7.
