I know the writer and he is a fan of JD/NO: I think he's just trying to be contrary with Technique being below Music Complete - I mean, that is total nonsense.

The writer can't be taken seriously. I am sure that I am preaching to the converted here but just look at the tracklist for Substance. It is utterly ridiculous how good it is. As a collection of songs, no other collection of New Order or Joy Division songs (In any guise) comes even close to it.

Is it not there because it’s a compilation and not a studio album?

Thanks. Then yes that doesn’t make sense. I haven’t seen the list as wasn’t dealing with being bombarded by adverts.
I hope Power Corruption and lies was up at the top end
