Didn't go to Port Vale but did go to Donnington in '84 to see Diamond Dave and Co. Also saw Mahogany Rush at FTH, where Frank Marino had more pedals than the Tour de France.
Agree with that, Motörhead are insanely loud, seen them at the Manchester Apollo Last year...my ears were ringing for hours after! They really are a Great band Credit to Lemmy and co For carrying on the music all these yearsMotorhead are the loudest band I've ever seen live.
Port Vale football club 1981 absolute scorching hot day, apparently it could be heard 11 miles away. Insane by todays standards with health and safety et all.

Was that the gig Where during Snowblind ,one of the techs Dropped the whole sack of white powder over ozzy and fearing dismissal approached him to apologize after the gig ,only to be met with ,that was f**kin awesome drop it on me again just like that .Always loud, but for me, it was Black Sabbath at the Free Trade Hall in 1975 .... aged 15 and was in pain it was so loud, lol.

Like Keith Richards he should be dead. An accomplished bass player, there are some amazing bass riffs from both his time in Motorhead and also from Hawkwind.
Hawkwinds "A Space Ritual" is an awesome double album/cd of what now is known as "Space Rock", with Lemmy on Bass guitar. Awesome stuff.
