We will have put a value on the player and if his club agree to that value he may well be our player, the issue is if Madrid are prepared to offer more than we feel he is worth.

Whatever the outcome the player is a very lucky man , not than he has not earned it!

A 19 year old who will earn 350k a week , has the choice of playing for two of the worlds great clubs, has been an incredible success in Germany, a starter for his country and to go with that is a grounded, intelligent, well brought up guy.

Slagging off him and his family is pathetic, hang your heads in shame, even more so if he pulls on our shirt in a couple of weeks.

I have zero doubt that given the opportunity Foden would be a better CM than Bellingham over the long haul. I genuinely believe that presented with the number of touches and options he would get playing in the middle of the park he would be world class. His ability to pick out a defense-breaking pass is as good as anyone in the side. Grealish recently cited Phil as the most talented player in the squad. Just my opinion.
I would spend the Bellingham money on a top notch right side forward and a different midfielder.
If West Ham would take Phillips as part of a deal for Rice I would have to make that move. Phillips in terms of an option for West Ham to replace Rice gives us a leg up on Arsenal, Chelsea, Man U, or Liverpool in terms of getting Rice.

Slagging him off is unnecessary and uncalled for. However, those like myself who believe us to be a better option than Madrid are entitled to our opinion. Of course he can choose RM. He can choose Southampton or Sampdoria as well. But us being a better squad with a manager second to none laced with a boatload of his England teammates and his former club mates is all a reality. So is the fact that we can match or exceed anyone's offer in terms of wages. That's the current reality regardless of how many pictures of Real's trophy case you post or where he ultimately decides to go.

No. I think sentiment towards him has changed due to the press leaks about "plastic" clubs rather than any decision to go to Madrid. My own opinion is that he would be a good signing but not one that is essential.

I think your right about them needing a striker Benzema has declined rapidly over recent months and unlike last year caused no problems in this years tie. In these circumstances it may not be possible for them financially to reach a deal with Dortmund even if Bellingham fancies flying south.
