Pity if he ends up at Madrid I will ruin him as in his injury record will get worse! We would look after him like we have with Haaland! His career could be over before he reaches 30!
 
Let’s face it, Madrid are a massive drawer for any footballer. The culture, the club, the history, the money - it’s a fantastic opportunity if you’re being promised the world. Kroos and Modric are on their way out and he’s got the chance to be the new wave there.

I thought he’d come here, though, given he’s young enough to only really know us to be the dominant force in English football and English players tend to want to come home but obviously not in this case.

I just hope all the bollocks about oil plastic money was just that - bollocks. Which it likely was from Dortmund and Madrid’s mouthpieces.
 
I just don't get how he is more expensive than the ridiculously high price we paid for Grealish.

At that price he is taking on huge pressure wherever he goes. If I was him I'd be kicking up a stink at Dortmund if they are valuing him out of a potential move. (Same as Bernardo could if City valued him at 100m+)

Haaland had much less pressure on him because he had a reasonable transfer cost. Wages aren't as much of a weight it seems.
 
Big if but if Real do get him for a fee lower than the reported €150m he must have made it clear he only wants them.

The racism in Spain might put a few people off, why work and live there when you can work and live in a civilised society?
 
I gotta say the inability to accept a player has chosen another club and move on is sad from some of the posters here

Maybe but a player that still needs a hell of a lot of improvement to make and is very much work in progress.

He is a superb talent but somewhat of a gamble in terms of fee and contract, he HAS to be successful to justify that investment.

I think people have drastically overstated how much improvement is needed. I'd say it's more of a case of him needing to adjust to being a big fish in a big pond.

The only thing I find concerning is his knee but it's hard to tell when a player is at Dortmund.
