Jude Bellingham

The first thing I heard him say about it was "Jude Bellingham is going to be a Liverpool players this summer... unless something drastic happens."

That doesn't sound very bullish to me.

The guy's very obviously full of shit.
"Something drastic" like signing for City

I think we forget the dippers might not have CL football next season. Why would a player with top clubs at his mercy decide on the one which halts his progression? Because of his dad and Henderson? Bollocks.

His best mate is here. The best manager in the world is here. We’re champions of 4 of the last 5 seasons and will pay as handsomely as the next club. And are (pretty much) guaranteed to have CL football to thrive on the biggest stage for players.

If City want Bellingham, then it’d be naive to think a deal wasn’t in place when we signed Haaland.
There’s no way on earth we wouldn’t have started negotiating back then if he was on our radar as must have targets. We’ll know 100% either way if the player is wanting to join us or not by now and if he does then a deal will already be done I’m sure. City are not daft and it makes perfect sense that we negotiated both at the same time. If we didn’t then questions need asking as to why not!
However, if he’s to join a rival then again we’ll already know but add to the equation his best mate already plays for us and will have been in his ear to come join us, it’s fair to assume we are probably favourites to sign him (if we genuinely want him) regardless of what the media and dipper fans thing or say.
I just can’t see us splashing £100m+ again on a player and are more likely to look for another young player who has potential but that Pep can shape in to the player he wants at a fraction of the outlay.
I’d personally love him at City but one player does not make a team so if he joined Liverpool I’d not worry at all. You also know if he joined them that he’d suddenly be asthmatic… Funny how they’ve performed this season being as it’s their “off season” for the meds, obviously not a coincidence in any way.
Just one man’s opinion of course.

They have taken the bribe approach with his old man, they recognise the fact he is a fan and it would appear they are thoroughly exploiting that angle.......Thankfully,so far,the kid appears to be his own man.

Do keep up Dickie!

Says a lot about his dad's judgement :)

I think, even without the Blue tints, the vast majority would agree.

Much like his friend did last summer, moving here would seem the most logical option and the smart choice.Hopefully his mothers genes continue to be the dominant ones ;-)

What seems to be ignored in all of the Bellingham talk us that as midfielder do you want to be coached by Klopp or Pep? Every midfielder that’s gone to Liverpool since Klopp arrived has at best plateaued (Fabinho or Thiago) or struggled like Oxlade Chamberlain or Keita. Their style largely negates the midfielders creativity and focuses more on 3 workhorses.

On the other hand working with Pep as a midfielder must be a dream, KDB, Iniesta, Xavi, Bernardo, Yaya, Busquets, Rodri, Gundogan amongst many others have thrived under Pep.

Whatever about league position, champions league, money or history why does anyone think an any ambitious midfielder would want to play for Klopp over Pep is beyond me.

A lot of opposing fans love the argument “but we have history” when talking about signings yet forget that no player cares about a clubs history going in to contract talks, they care about future potential, wages, location, and who the manager is. That includes players who are fans of said clubs too, playing for a club you supported as a child is a bonus, nothing more.
My eldest had Utd sniffing around him a few years back, I told him to grasp it with both hands… he chose tits and good times instead lol. But if any of my others were good enough I’d tell them to sign for whoever would give them the greatest chance and we wouldn’t care about the “history”, it’s just not a thing that’ll cross their minds regardless of what they may say in interviews afterwards.
