Rice does everything Phillips can do but better, and he can do plenty that Phillips can't. He's also younger, yet a more experienced and consistent performer at a higher level.

I don't agree with most of that, sorry. Each to their own but I see Rice as an extremely limited footballer who occasionally churns out a very good performance. His nationality is the sole reason he's talked about for the kind of fees we hear. Bang average, imo.
