To be fair, without a Grealish or potentially Bellingham supplying the ammo, Haaland would be nothing.

Foundational Players who provide a platform for the likes of Haaland, are worth their weight in gold.

It's like Grealish. Doesn't score a lot & his assist numbers are nothing to write home about, HOWEVER his numbers for assisting the assister are off the scale.

It's those numbers & his ability to hold onto possession, why we paid £100m for him. Without players like Grealish & Bellingham, there's a less effective Haaland.
I get your point, but at Dortmund and RB Salzburg before that, he scored at pretty much a goal a game… to suggest he’d be nothing without Grealish etc, is a tad too far!

All strikers need to be fed, but that goes without saying in a team game! Haaland is a phenom wherever he plays and we’re lucky to have him!

Without pre-foundational players like Stones, who are comfortable retaining possession, then Grealish would be nothing… it’s those players who assist, the assist to the pre-assist.

Haaland is a supreme finisher & creates snap chances from very little, however with his low workrate it takes others to build a platform for Erling to stand on.

For the first time in Haaland's career, he's playing against top class opposition near enough every match. He's having to adapt as are City, but slowly & surely we're understanding each other which must be frightening for everyone else considering the stellar season he's had so far.

Having said that, after his initial Premier League blast, we've seen Erling snuffed out earlier in the season as teams were playing narrow & deep to negate his effectiveness.

We've had to adapt, but so has Haaland & as we've seen recently, he's dropping deeper to collect the ball & create space in behind, & also re-learning his trade as a No 9 target man, who's now bringing others into the game & providing assists. This must frighten the fuck out of the opposition more!

If Erling learns to play football as well as Harry Kane, he could smash every striking record in the game. Football's like chess. It's move & counter-move. As it stands, we've asked the Haaland question, PL clubs were providing answers, so we've amended the question leaving many teams now scratching their heads.

The fact that Erling & City are both so flexible & adaptable bodes well for the future.

Not to mention the Edison’s of this world, who assist the assisted assist of the pre-assist; those guys are priceless.
