Jude Bellingham

Awful lot of scouse bollocks about them being all in for him. If you're Bellingham, or any other highly rated and in demand ball playing midfielder why would you go sign for Liverpool? Yeah they're one of the best sides but his role would be reduced to clogger, water carrier and cover for the fullbacks, would be such a waste of his talents to go play that kind of football.

In contrast to that, if city are in for him next summer he can play the kind of football all midfielders like him dream of playing, Pep will turn him into everything he wants to be, learning from the likes of kdb and Bernardo instead of Henderson and Keita and he can do it in very familiar surroundings too. He'd be behind his mate Erling and be surrounded by half the England side, Phillips, foden, Grealish all in midfield with him and infront of walker and Stones.

I think dippers would just grind his true potential down and turn him into an effective but one dimensional workhorse, he can be anything he wants he can be a jack of all trades here but also a master of them all too if coached right and willing to learn, reckon if he signs and Pep works his magic then one week when much older he could be playing the Fernandinho role, the next he can be doing a Bernardo type shift and on another rarer week he could be making late darting runs into the box like Gundo helping us push for a winner.

This all depends on the type of person he is as his image might not be as squeaky clean as we think but if he's got intelligence a great attitude and undying enthusiasm, to go along with with his lung busting determination he can be a totally world class all rounder, he just needs a coach who will make him tactically perfect from a positional point of view, someone to broaden his mind who will help him overanalyse weaknesses and also simplify difficult things, someone like Pep.

Plenty of reasons why this transfer makes sense, be interesting to see if it comes to fruition.

Both Gundogan and Bernardo could both be gone freeing up squad spaces and wages. A lot of the lads he is close with e.g. Haaland, Grealish and Phillips are already here. Why would you go anywhere else?

The scousers have an issue hurtling towards them, their current squad needs a refresh and 100m on one player is not the way to do that.

Looking at Liverpool fans and that Liverpool fan on “Kick Off” with Shrek he seems to think Liverpool are balls deep and tapping up his dad who is a Liverpool fan.

So it would be really interesting how this pans out. Would love it if we can pull it off. But where would he fit in.

Specially us having Rodri and now Phillips.

He would replace Gundo

Out of curiosity, what is a current or past player that Bellingham profiles similarly to? I haven’t watched enough of him to be able to judge him fairly tbh

If there was any indication Dortmund would play ball, we'd have bid already.

Who's to say we haven't, and it's being kept low key?

If we have any sense, we'll have done the spade work, agreed a fee with BD, agreed to loan him back this season, and announce it with 30 minutes of the window left.

Sneaky, effective, both clubs win, and no other club can respond with a counter bid

Not similar in style but he takes up similar positions on the pitch to what Yaya did.
