It takes at least a year to learn the style of play. Rodri took a year, as did Cancelo (no coment). I think Rico may be the best short term solution.Stating a fact,his heart must sink when he sees the treacle twins next to him.

It takes at least a year to learn the style of play. Rodri took a year, as did Cancelo (no coment). I think Rico may be the best short term solution.
I think he would hit the ground running,just as long as he isn't unnecessarily rotated every other game and is allowed to build relations and consistency.

The game isn't necessarily built around speed of movement, but speed of thought, depending on what's needed or where.

You’re missing the entire context of my post.
De Bruyne and Gundogan were said to be ‘treacle twins’ and that his heart must sink having to play with them.
Obviously a laughable comment.
My point was that I doubt it because he’s not so fast himself. With De Bruyne he walks into any side in world football despite not being quick. Rodri does too despite not being quick either.
Ps Fernandinho was pretty fast before he got old. It was when he lost his pace which finished him off.

His ability to retain the ball was insane though,his strength was immense.
Plus he had the best dark arts master in Dinho doing the business next to him.

De Bruyne was described as running in treacle. I made the point Rodri isn’t quick either. Doesn’t stop them being top players. Rodri and De Bruyne as good as it gets in their positions for me despite not being really quick.

Some of you lot test my patience at times.
I was responding to a post which inferred De Bruyne ran like he was in treacle. The point I was making was that De Bruyne is a great player and doesn’t need to be really fast compared to say a Walker.
