Jules Koundé

After today's game the Rags will be after a defender. Let's hope they don't look at this guy as he is a lifelong Rag so would choose them over us. Seen a picture of him as a kid with a Giggs duvet......

as above post says, unless this gets more widely reported i'm not getting my hopes up. dont even know if they are reliable?
I mentioned earlier, they are usually reliable, and also broke the Rodri news. But you are right, we will just have to wait on further information and more sources to confirm

AS are not usually reliable for news outside of the Madrid clubs. They're a daily tabloid so they have to fill the columns but they do occasionally get things right for other clubs.

Only one paper reporting it right? Diario AS. If one UK paper reported a bid I wouldn't be getting my hopes up. Really want this signing to happen, but I'm staying calm for now.

I would be more optimistic if a Sevilla based journalist has leaked something

I can get behind this. Young, quick and has a really good leap. Obviously, it would have been good to bring in somebody a little more experienced, but hopefully he builds a strong partnership with Laporte/Ake for many years. Price seems reasonable, though the source is somewhat dubious.

Sounds promising. Not a player that I know anything about but that means nothing. Quick YT reviews suggests very quick and athletic, and a decent footballer. I remember Sevilla as being defensively solid in the latter stages of the Europa League.
I've seen him play 6 or 7 times, so not loads but enough to make a judgement, and I'm very excited at the prospect of this lad signing for City. There's a real calmness and composure about his game, outside his physical attributes.

Over here it's saying Sevilla have rejected our offer of 55m. Which is below his release clause.
65m I think he is ours. It does sound like Sevilla are open to this.

It's a while ago now, but we did business with Sevilla for Jesus Navas and Alvaro Negredo. Clearly they are a club with which we are comfortable in transfer dealings. I am far more confident that we can find common ground with Sevilla than we can with Napoli.

If this deal were to happen, Napoli would have to quickly find a buyer for Kalidou Koulibaly. That won't be easy in the current climate with what they are asking.

How hard can it be to find a guy that is tall, has pace, and isn't "the next Mangala"?

Hope it's true. Watched the Europa League Final expecting his fellow centre back to be the dominant one, but he was class. Quick decision making and quick in the tackle. He will need to get used to Andy Carroll and the like, but I feel he will learn quickly.
