I was quite apprehensive about Kounde's height, but it turns out he's actually better in the air than either of Koulibaly or Carlos statistically. Miles better than Garcia and Ake too. These stats are via opta and it backs up what many have said, that despite his height he's really good in the air and wins plenty of headers. Big leap etc:

That's good. It's not necessarily a big issue, but combined with the fact that he's fairly young, he might lack physicality in certain situations. There have been smaller world class players than him, and as a pairing with the taller Laporte, you've hopefully got all angles covered.I was quite apprehensive about Kounde's height, but it turns out he's actually better in the air than either of Koulibaly or Carlos statistically. I definitely did not say that mate! haha. I made a video discussing the reports that he's agreed a potential contract with City. Just chatting about this:
Sorry if there are any wires crossed, but my video title was 'Man City agree five year deal with Jules Kounde?' - I didn't say he'd signed one. Apologies for any confusion :)
same as my nanFaster than Rodri but slower than Walker.
I just had a quick look. Apparently 0 goals due to counters last season in the league. That doesn't sound right to me. I guess it depends on how you define it. 9 due to set pieces, but that presumably includes direct free kicks. I seem to remember (and could be mistaken) that we went through a period a few years ago where were weren't conceding many goals from corners, but only because we weren't conceding many corners. But when you looked into the percentage of corners that resulted in goals for the opposition, it was shockingly high.Nothing to do with height with the amount of goals we concede on average.
I reckon about 90% of our goals are due to us getting done on the counter attack.
We need a rapid CB to stop them.
Confusion I think. Did a live video called 'City agree five year deal with Kounde?' just discussing these rumours:
Apologies all :)
He’s not exactly Warwick Davis
