How is he any better than Garcia? I know they're just highlights, but he's as underwhelming as they come. I prefer an Eric Garcia one-year rental or just push our luck with THB, Adarabioyo or even Stones.
He's better at literally everything apart from maybe passing. And better by absolute miles.
If Garcia is as good, in two years, I'll be sorry we lost him.
Right now he's not even on the same planet & imo never will be
Kounde was amazing in the europa league 68 million release clause is how we do things so it's perfect for us. Only thing that annoys me is what are our scouts doing kounde was available last year from the French league for 25mil

Sounds like he's the one. The Telegraph story has been downplayed. The deal, from the Spanish side at least, sounds like it's closer than how it's been written. Could still all be a ploy but people not killing it dead.

For people saying he's short, he won all his aerial duels vs dzeko when sevilla played Roma.
He's a rare specimin who gets extra height jumping. Like Dave Watson.
Still not as good as a Vinny or Van Dijk, who can just stand there & bounce people off, but by no means a weakness.

On another note, thoughts on Aguero replacement? The bar set by him is so high that anyone other than Felix or Haaland seems like a downgrade. Considering how Mbappe is going to Madrid, Barca want Depay to play striker and most other clubs who could be in for them have a striker, Haaland/Felix to City seems strangely possible to me.

As I said to someone yesterday - for the KK deal to drag this long it's because whoever is number 2 on the list is already fully boxed so when they move on, it'll move fast.
