Julian Alvarez to leave Atletico?

You are putting too much emphasis in numbers. He isn't a prolific goalscorer, yet he is a great foward that operates also as another offensive mid.

I dunno if he can sustain this great last season, but you clearly didn't watch him or at least follow their press to think he didnt have an impact in La Liga. He really had great games, even more in Champions League. He is no Kun, yet he is no Joselu either

I did follow La Liga. "Great impact" is nonsense. He played well after a slow start, that's about it.

And I wasn't putting too much emphasis on numbers. I was replying to someone who suggested he might do Haaland numbers if Haaland wasn't first choice. I was merely pointing out that he wouldn't.

I like him as a player, I'd be more than happy if he'd stayed but let's not make him out to be something he isn't either.

Correct. He wouldn’t get anywhere near Haaland’s numbers. Probably the only striker around who would have in our team is Kane. With Alvarez you probably get a lot more as a team player. You’re not going to get the same amount of goals though ever. Whether you’d get more as a whole team from him playing instead is another debate.

Is there any striker in the world at the moment that would get Haalands numbers?

They’re completely different strikers.

Hence me agreeing with someone who said he wouldn’t. Don’t think Kane would be too far off. Think he got about 30 league goals in a bang average Spurs side when Haaland got 36.

We robbed em blind for 90 million no chance I'd have him back trampoline first touch. Great work rate and a decent shot but he's a limited player imo. Marmoush is an upgrade.
Don’t think we did. Don’t get me wrong i was very happy with the price but if they sell him they’ll probably make a profit. Could argue that’s due to such a shortage of top strikers around at the moment though.

Think it’s too early to say Marmoush in an upgrade. Probably more talented but we’re still to see where he truly fits in. As a back up striker Alvarez certainly has the edge. With regards actual first touch Marmoush has plenty of work to do himself as his first touch is no Mahrez!

They haven't got any cash. They need to sell just to survive. I expect their players to be sold to the highest bidder and they will have to accept what they're offered or go under.
They’ll just borrow. Big Jim doesn’t like the debt interest but they can easily afford it. “We’ll run out of cash” was a nonsense, designed to justify all those sackings. Big Jim’s m.o. is to sack people as his first move.

There would not be all these transfer talks if he didn't had a great season. BTW season its beyond La Liga.

His CL was excellent (in fact his level in the competition is great since he started playing it), he was really good in Copa and the only but was that he could have score more in La Liga, yet overall his games, perfomances was what made him to be noticed. He is no Erling in terms of scoring, he is no Kun or Tevez in terms of ability, yet he is not just a hustler. Yet it's noticiable that here more than overrated, he ends being quite underrated as a player.

Tevez would be the perfect player to play up top in a pep season. Peak Tevez would be better than anything we have seen under Pep.
That's right.
Wipes the floor with this useless Norwegian muppet we've blown 50 odd mill on.
