I'm think he gets a loan or is at best a backups backup next season here. He's clearly great in a defensive setup but we dominate the ball for 90% of the game and his passing stats are even more raw than the rest of his game
Yes. Good post. He has really clear strengths defensively, probably like Khusanov, so both would need a Stones type alongside them. BUT, they are both very, very young with years of coaching ahead of them.
As @WallyA states, we play a very different game. He keeps his passing very simple with Lens, but that is more what is expected of him.

The potential of both is very encouraging. The stats in the comparison are to Dias (forgot to name them).

A decent loan to a decent passing side would be great for him.

I have a hunch, and this is just a hunch

Physically, he looks ready for the Prem. 6'5, very fit. Strong. The stats back this up. Dominant in the air. Looks solid on the ball.

His rise has been meteoric. how quickly he's gone from relative obscurity to "signing for man City" to "excelling in La Liga/Ligue 1" is unusual, to say the least.

I have a feeling he gets a shot at the team. I have a feeling he's not going to be out of place.

We might have a real gem.
I think we could have the most dominating c/b in best team in all the worlds history . . . since Andy Morrison:)

Looks an unreal prospect and Tolmie updated while ago only way he would sign for us if he was promised his squad place next season. Can't wait to see him in Blue. Waited along time to get a Rudiger style c/b. Surely not as much of a twat either!

One of the best videos I've seen of him. Awaits Samaras comments...

He gets through an awful lot of defending considering he's played fairly few matches at Lens. He's no John Stones on the ball but he doesn't look too bad.

Has unreal potential because of his physical advantages.
