The good news for us (and the rest of football for that matter) is the message this sent out to the Rags' players. Ferguson obviously doesn't rate some of them and he hasn't any money to strengthen. Nani's body language when he was subbed said it all. I wonder what Shrek now thinks of the promise to invest in the team when he signed his new contract ?? Buying a duff goalie and the new Duncan Edwards ( ! ) can hardly fill him with much confidence.
Tick Tock.
Also how bad must the rest of the bench feel when slur alex can see us getting back in the game and decides he needs to make a change in midfield. He turns to his bench and says Anderson NO. Park NO, Hey Ginger get warm. HA HA
Which was of course the point I was making. Anderson & Co must have been thinking WTF is going on ? Bobby Manc must have been thinking 'they're finished'.
We may have lost that match, but in the one act of selecting Scholes it confirmed to me that their time is over, and ours is here. In all my years watching City I've never before come away from losing a Derby without feeling miserable. Yesterday I actually felt pretty good, and I'd like to bet I wasn't the only Blue feeling that way. Can't wait until we get them back here again in April. It'll be great if it's the day we take the title.
