Just a had a text, Scholes was ineligible to play

What I find very mysterious is the fact that he would have to be registered as a player.

So why was this not out in the open and as we are reading about Henry signing for Arsenal it was widespread knowledge he had signed, presumably the same sources who should have made the Scholes signing public knowledge.

Do you get what I mean, there is no problem with him registering and I find it amusing he has had to, but why not publicised from the same body that publicised the Henry registration.

One rule for one?

It was Arsenal who publicised them signing Henry.

United kept it secret so they could surprise us on the day.

Presumably thinking the players would be pissing themselves laughing that much, they would lose concentration.

Me and my mates are playing that team this weekend and Scholes was supposed to be playing. They called us and asked if would be ok!

Guess he won't be playing now!

I wonder what Shrek now thinks of the promise to invest in the team when he signed his new contract ??

Fergie bought Scholes as promised to make Shrek happy

This thread is bollocks. Was it started by a rag to wind us up?
Forget it and move on.

True, but even so i was wondering myself, lots of things running through my mind, registered in time(when)? 25 man squad(registered and in place of who?) Can he play in the Prem?

Don't know if he was registered in time but he will replace Fletcher in the 25 man squad.

There's nothing mysterious about Scholes's signing, the information is out there, try Googling for it! He retired at the end of May last year, so he had served his suspension, and they signed him on Friday but kept it quiet so that not too many people would wet themselves.
End of..! Let's move on and stop looking for feeble get-outs, it's not going to happen.

If this is true, Kompany can announce his retirement today and then we can coax him out of retirement by Monday so he can play. Surely if you ever come out of retirement you still have to serve your suspension.
