I only caught the 1st half today and listened to the 2nd half on the radio.
One thing that really hit me was on the radio they were saying that Mancini was on the pitch signing autographs at halftime and Kidd was doing the halftime team talk.
They showed Mancini on TV signing autographs a good two or three minutes before the City team re-emerged. It was a very strange sight to say the least.

Naah, it's the well known Kiddo/Mancio duet. Roberto stalks out just as they're finishing their oranges and Kiddo says "Look what you've done, he's gone, he's really, really, really upset now ..."

Italian opera at its best.

whats up with certain players? toure looks like hes not got a clue irelands managed to lose 2 years petrov doesnt give a shite thats just the start

No get the right/best fcuking manager out there instead of settling for second best!!

What gives us the right to sack anyone that isn't the best manager in the world?

I'm getting pretty pissed off with people who think that we have money so are therefore Real Madrid.

We have NOTHING to offer a new man apart from a history of fans getting on their backs after 6 games, a club that is desperate for success, and a bit of cash (which if you don't succeeded within the first 6 months will get you sacked).

If I was Jose, I'd stay well the fuck away from this place, we sound like spoilt children, or even worse, rags.

Fuck Madrid, city every time, Roberto's here i hope he makes us successful but if you think we won't/can't get the best cos we're just "Manchester city" you're wrong, if jose/hiddink were available at the time Mancini was Roberto wouldn't be here.

Thank Christ it aint just me that thinks this.
Have we become the world's greatest after a cash injection? No. We haven't. It will still take time. We've had plenty of it and we can deal with plenty more. It WILL happen. Just don't expect it tomorrow.

I think the OP may have gone a little over the top but I understand his worries. We've played 6 games in a row now where the only half decent performance was the away win at Scunthorpe (who are not a great team and we have already beaten 5-1 this season). Everton was shocking, both Carling Cup legs were overly negative against a team that for years has punished negative sides but struggled when teams get at them. Pompey was dire and today's was also equally dire.

It is a very worrying run. I for the record did not want Hughes to go and I had a sneaky feeling he was going to see us through to the CC final over the two legs. When Mancini was appointed I was also very pleased (having accepted that Hughes had gone) and thought he might do a good job but I'm starting to get concerned about his lack of knowledge of the Prem. Yes this will come in time but it's going to come too late to salvage this season I fear. We have a great opportunity to finish 3rd! Not just top 4. But I think with performances like our last 5 (excepting FA cup Scunthorpe) we have very little chance and may even struggle to get top 6.

tbh fair, we were utter fucking rubbish today.Mancini had a Holocaust.

Hull City ffs.If we don't get 4th place now, which looks unrealistic considering Liverpool have now gone on a winning streak and our team look like lost children and uninterested unless we're playing United - we won't be able to attract the kind of players that we need to become a world force.

Aguero - might be a possibility considering the state of Atletico but teams like Chelsea will be sniffing around and they'll offer Champions League football
Messi - No chance
Ronaldo - No chance
Rooney - Cheeky bid maybe? But, again, no CL football - why would he?
Fabregas - If he goes anywhere, it'll be Barca (CL football)
And that list can go on and on - and needs to include 4 world class defenders because....

......our defence is a fucking circus.Tell you what, we've spent over 100m - we'll need to spend at least that again to challenge in any way shape or form.

Barry - shite, get rid - he's done nowt.
Toure - Average
Garrido - handicapped
Boyata - People rave about him but he was awful today and I've seen him make countless errors
Ireland - Whats happened to him ffs?He seems overly concerned about living the chav high-life and his head is clearly not on City.Look at that tattoo on his back - he's fucking nuts.
Adebayor isn't the answer either.

I'm not going on, I'm fucking fuming.

And I'd just like to add that I agree that Mancini is fucking clueless.

tactically inept doesnt even come close, i cannot even be arsed to list the many tactical failings, just to say today was woeful, the brand of football unwatchable and a complete failure taking into account the players at his disposal.

if this is the level and the style of football, please go now, its turgid narrow shite.
You went into the game saying we had to win the next 3 games on the basis of what? We were playing a team with their tails up who rarely lose at home, & we aren't very good away from home.

You can criticise the lack of width, but I'm fed up of watching Petrov away from home disappear, and SWP had a poor game at Utd, and Mancini bought AJ, & brought him on.

How about you give him time? Yes you are right to note some tactical changes, but do you think these should be abandoned at the first failure?

The reason we lose games away is because our midfield loses control of games. We miss a figure like Fellaini. I use him as an example, because he is the most dominant midfielder inthe English game. We tried and failed to bring such a player in, but this team has got us to the brink of the top 4. We will come good again

The thread title is a bit harsh on clowns in my opinion.

From where l was sat it looked like we were busy defending a 2-1 defeat and keeping it respectable. There was no sense of urgency, no flair, no initiative, no invention, just loads of pedestrian holding midfielders bumping into each other.

At least under Hughes it was exciting, end to end and entertaining. We also tended to snatch a honourable draw from these types of game.

lf this dull, abject tedious shit continues gates will start to suffer bigtime.

Struggling to raise any enthusiasm for going Stoke and Chelsea if this is the fare on offer.

Are you taking the piss?

Seriously, we're turning into rags, what the fuck are we doing to this fucking club?

Im with Damocles.

We went in for Mariga and Gago in January, and somebody somewhere fucked up and we got neither, and it ain't Mancini's fault.

Do you honestly think Barry & De Jong would be the 2 in midfield if either of them had signed? I don't. I don't even see them as the 2 if and when Vieira is fit enough.
