nothing wrong with backing against your own team, ive had 350 quid off betfred for paying out early. he is one arrogant so and so and that is half my season ticket paid for, if your prepared to lose your money to see city win what is wrong with that
 
Leave the guy alone, he doesn't want City to lose, he is just hedging his bets and being honest about it. I did the same in 1998 when we were at Stoke, I had a treble, City to win at Stoke with Portsmouth and Port Vale to win (I think it was those two). If all won, I won but City would go down, if City won and either the other two failed I lost but would have been absolutely fucking delighted that we stayed up. Unfortunately I ended up winning around £500 but it was one of the worst days of my life.
 
Cut the op some slack.

Sometimes doing things like this however daft and disloyal it may seem it makes some people feel better.

Every blue wants to lose their money who has done this!

i did the same last week, £50 on a newcastle win and £50 on a draw, was the happiest i`ve ever been losing money, think most of the abuse has come from sheep following others abuse.

Starts off with one or 2 negative comments and the sheep follow..
Then the thread finishes with them looking stupid!

sorry to have upset so many people. I wrongly assumed you realised I was backing City "not to win the title" as compensation for the feeling that losing would bring. I actually only remembered the £50 at about 10.30 on Sunday night. I laughed and my mates agreed bets like that are win-win.

I could have said I layed City rather than backed the scum but most of you would have been confused.

I have had a season ticket since 1977 and yes I was at York away. Please dont tell me about being disrespectful or not a real blue! Believe me, there are few people on here who hate those red twats as much as I do.

Its just like when you pay insurance out to cushion the blow if you have a crash...you dont want a crash but it offsets the hurt.

Hope those who slagged me off are feeling less stressed now!
