ive just signed on for now going to have a good job search tomorrow i want to stay within the refrigeration air con trade as ive just started a course to get my nvq level 2 and it would break my heart not to be able to finish it

I am 7 months out of work and it is shit. Cant even get onto any courses which is the pain in the arse the backlog is fucked up fireing away cvs get the odd reply but none so far this year I know it is only 12 days gone but it is getting harder by the day something will have to change. So keep the head up is what I say and take anything you get be it a course or job straight away.

Sorry to hear that but like a few have said it's shit at the moment on the job front . I was made redundant in September and was lucky to find a job but things didn't work out and I'm back looking !! I have found a good website that lists all the companys in Manchester by trade . I used it to post my cv to and to be fair have had a few leads off some of them . I'll post the link later on when I find it . The only advice I can give is keep your chin up ffs !! Yes it's grim but sooner or later something will come up

i interviewed and took si on 4 months ago bill and then i got laid off 2 months ago....this country is fucked

your not wrong mate, the problem is i had a job last year that was pretty much secure and i was on decent money but the firm i was at was so laid back they wouldnt train me in aspects of the job that i needed training in.
i was informed about a job at a firm that was dead set on training all of there employees so i attended an interview and the boss told me if i went to work for him he would get me trained and help me achieve all of my qualifications so i took a £2.50 an hour paycut to work for them.
4 months later they have laid me off with nothing but a pasma scaffolding card.
on top of that i (off my own back) signed up for a course at openshawe college to get my nvq in airconditioning refrigeration installation which is a course based on gathering work based eveidence of work carried out, last night was my first night in college, i filled in all my paper work and brought it into work this morning for my boss to sign it, but it now looks like i wont be able to complete this course that i have waited 18 months to get a place.

Sorry mate keep your chin up.I'm at the point now where i've never been so worried about work in my life.32 worked every day i could since i left school at 16 and i'm at the point where for the first time in my life i might have to sign on.
