Just got told...

Even with my very most 'objective' hat on, it's utter bullshit. Apart from anything else, Sky will milk that goal/match/moment for years to come - it's the very epitome, the perfect example of what the premier league 'product' is supposed to be about, what they'd like foreign audiences to believe it's like 38 weeks a year. Also 1989 until was last year was ALWAYS cited as an example of final day unpredictability, certainly not forgotten. This year eclipsed in terms of drama, very arguably.

The 'no-one remembers what happened 2011-12' is a complete nonsense argument, because nothing much of note happened, and that's clearly why they don't. Totally incomparable season finale to the most dramatic in premier league history.

Rooneys goal will be remembered to a certain level, but then Bergkamp and Le Tissier scored better goals and apart from popping up in the odd 'great PL goals' recap, it's not like they live in infamy.

When the rags last won the title the next seasons tv rights were £1.2 billion.
The next year City won it and they now go up to £3 billion..

hmmmmmmmmm. :)

I suspect that it will hurt even more and be a lot more memorable to them after a season of seeing it on the opening credits of Match of the Day.

....and if it isn't on there I'll definitely believe there's an agenda!

Hmmm speaking of agendas - In the supermarket yesterday they had a footy mag (MOTD, Shoot or Match) headline on the front - The Premier League is back... with a montage of PL players on the cover... strangely not one City player... not like we're the Champions or anything!
Noticed that too,weird..

This is what actually happens when the ball hits Rooneys foot and not his shin....

It just prooves the one against us was pure luck.

Most stunning goals like that are mostly about luck but he meant what he did which means its not a fluke

He meant to use his foot though didn't he?

Correct, it would have been the greatest goal ever if he played for Manchester United Shinball Club, but he doesn't .

you're forgeting the rag bubble they live in where no other football exists, michael thomas goal v the scousers has never been forgotten in all this time though now replaced as most dramatic ending and no one forgets the invincibles or blackburn losing but still clinching the title. leave the sad twats in fantasy land living off their warped version of football where only they matter

by a United fan that only City fans will remember last season in 10 years time. He went on to say that if you went up to a random football fan in the street and asked him what happened in the 2011/12 season he will have no idea. He also said Rooneys overhead kick will be more memorable than Agueros goal.
Am I just being biased or is this all bitter bullshit?

Rags mate no helping them

Rooneys was off his shin and could not be repeated again if he tried it 100 times, Sergios was calmly executed at a point in time when all around had lost their heads!!!

At that point scum had the title, that point I think will stick with them forever!!!

Wankers!!

They'll still be talking about Aguero's goal in fifty years time.
It's not only one city's greatest moments but one of world footballs greatest.
The best finish to the best season in the best league in the world, nothing they can ever do will over shadow that moment.
Agueroooooooooooooooooooooooo
