Just got told...

As Martin Tyler mentioned in his commentary on the game he mentioned Arsenal winning the old first division in dramatic circumstances scoring with pretty much the last kick at Anfield to rob Liverpool of the title people who are old enough remember it well. Our win if anything was more dramatic as we nearly blew it and as the Premier League has s[pread round the world far more people will have seen it and will remember it.

Bollox, I still remember watching Arsenal's last gasp winner against Liverpool back in 88/89 and thought that couldn't be beat as a climax to the season! I wasn't arsed who won TBH! Just another bitter red! I suppose he also said we bought the league, which in fairness we did but they've been doing it for years and Chelsea, Blackburn did too and it's only since Arsenal stopped spending money they havent won anything!

Nobody will remember anything from 2011/12?

Rags 8 - Arsenal 2
Robin Van Persie's record goals
Rags 1 - Manchester City 6
"Why Always Me?"
David Silva's pass for the last goal in the 6-1
Shaun Maloney's goal against the rags for Wigan (beautiful goal)
Everton's comeback
"Kean Out"
Suarez/**** racism
Terry/Ferdinand racism
Mancini and Fergie squaring up in the 1 - 0
Mancini's mindgames in the last month
Torres' miss against rags
Tevez going AWOL
City's form in the first two months
Barton's GBH in the QPR game
Vinnie's passion when the final whistle blew against QPR
Spuds missing out on Champions League because of Chelsea
'Arry not being made England manager
Liverpool's hilariously bad season under King Kenny
"Fergie RIP"

Will all be remembered for many years to come. 2011/2012 will be remembered as one of the best seasons ever.

As for Aguero's goal not being remembered, that's just plain ridiculous. It's gonna be part of highlight packages for the next 10 years at the least.

Rooney's will too, but only remembered fondly by rags. Everyone else is too busy discussing whether he meant it or not

Was chatting to a yank in a bar in bosnia yesterday. He knew very little about soccer but said the qpr finale had made a big impression over there.

I'd have a bit more respect for that goal if Rooney had been playing a blinder that day and deserved to score... but the fact is in the entire game he only touched the ball TWICE in the City penalty area (and one of those was with his shin!)

For me this just proves it was an undeserved fluke more than anything else.

My response would be either:

10 years from now United supporters will still be bitter about that goal.
It will be seared into your memory for decades like a nightmare that you just can't wake-up from.

or

Still in denial eh? You still have to go through anger, bargaining, and depression.
Only once acceptance comes, will you finally be able to put it behind you.

Plenty more of these to come....

Am I just being biased or is this all bitter bullshit?

don't forget the shinner has been shown at least 200 times a day on sky sports for over 18 months so the shinner is probably remembered by more people

What difference did Rooney's overhead goal make to the season?

What difference did Aguerro's goal make to the season?

Here is my case and I am resting it!
