just had a text

Good to see that the usual "I'm a massive blue" thread has surfaced so early telling people how they should spend their money. It usually waits until after the match.

Why is it that I get the feeling that the people who shout the loudest about this are all little boys who wouldn't know responsibilities if they bit them on the arse and are just worried that some rag might have a go at them about it.

(Oh, and I am most definitely going, but that isn't the point)

As long as your there it's got fuck all to do with you what other people spend their money on

Fucking hell, its just been Christmas, off the back off the worst financial year in recent times and your moaning that folk that have families, bills etc dont want to spunk £40 on a football ticket

Im going but just to let you know my family come before City any day off the week

Id be prepared to sacrifice anything for a ticket for this game. ffs £40 isnt a massive amount in the grand scheme of things. It's a piss up in the pub, a new top, shoes, a couple of takeaways. Its not impossible to change some things for a few weeks in order to find the spare cash for a ticket.

Financial times are hard indeed and its a horrible and stressfull time for many but city is a way of leeting yourself go, its the pleasure of watching city that relive the nightmare of being potentially unable to provide and pay for you bills.

Consolidate your outgoings and income and think what you can sacrifice for a ticket.

Thats all well and good ...Factor in Away games at Bolton , Wolves, Middlesboro , United , Everton , Stoke and Scunthorpe all within a short period of time around Christmas/New Year and thats without money for Home games it doesnt seem so simple as just paying £40 for this game does it , unless of course people only care about the "Big games " ...

Think its down to starting at x amount of points and leaving it late untill ones who only go a couple of times a year can get 1 for fear of rags getting in our end, not too fussed as it'll sell out eventually and will be a cracking atmosphere.

Can't fookin wait for this and im going to get my dad a ticket now as he's only got 50 pts as he went fulham, scunthorpe and arsenal.

exactly my point you new we would be playing the rags in the semis, the biggest game in the last 10 years. Why couldnt you sacrifice a couple of smaller more less important games like bolton and wolves knowing full well we had the rags coming up. Thats what i did.

As already stated once - CHT has a ticket to both legs and has done since they went on sale.

price elasticity. clearly we've reached the point with these prices that is just too much for a lot of people.

people say it's only £40 but if i'm a father and want to take my two songs you're talking £100 for the day. I can afford it but that's a lot of money for most folk after Xmas for a game that, as big as it is, will be on TV. It's our first semi final in 28 years - we shouldn't be pricing people out.

also, the shitty "lets drop the needed loyalty points by 50 each day" policy has done us no favours.

Like it or not, a large if not the majority of our home support is now Women and Children. On a school night who's going to stay at home and look after this kids?

That's why we're struggling to sell out.

I will be there but I totaly agree with this, I'm only going because I'm not
taking my kids. All this crap about "true blues" going is bull. If you can't afford it
don't let the support police make you feel bad.

City thought they would be that high in demand they used that policy. Obviously not. And in all honesty I would not take anyone aslong as I could go lol.
